When patients are facing the end of life, the last thing their families should worry about is whether they will be accepted into a hospice program because of finances. When people are grieving, they shouldn’t be concerned about whether they can afford grief support. And when a pregnant or new mom needs education and support to provide a healthy environment for her baby, she should not worry about how to pay for access to information and supplies.

Providing hospice and home health care, as well as support for pregnant and parenting families, requires compassion, dignity and empathy. Our caregivers are more than professionals – they are companions who offer practical support and emotional strength. And for hospice patients who require a higher level of care than can be provided at home, Kavanagh House provides a peaceful, homelike setting where staff are available 24 hours a day. Your gift helps EveryStep recruit and retain the best health care staff and maintain our beautiful Kavanagh House.

Patients at the end of life not only have their physical needs met, but are able to achieve a sense of comfort, dignity and trust. Individuals are better able to navigate the loss of a loved one guided by counselors and peers on the same journey. Pregnant women are more likely to carry their babies to term, children are less likely to end up in the hospital and more likely to achieve developmental milestones. Your gifts help to maintain EveryStep’s services, ensuring those who need our care can access it.
