MOUNT PLEASANT, IOWA -- What sets EveryStep's hospiece team in Mount Pleasant apart from other providers?
Just ask the families they serve. Here are some of the recent letters of thanks they've received at their office.
Thank you for all your help during our difficult time. Your team is amazing and very loving. All of you were very kind. God bless you all!
We can’t thank you all enough for the exceptional care you gave to Mom as well as the family during her time with hospice. We will miss you all & getting to visit with you! We will forever highly recommend EveryStep for anyone needing hospice care!
I am writing to send my gratitude to the staff of Everystep Hospice Mount Pleasant. They offered really extraordinary support for the death of my mother. Because of their help, my dad and I were able to care for her entirely at home and she had a really peaceful passing. I’d particularly like to thank Deanna, Suzanne, and Val, who did the majority of our home visits.
Deanna had a really wonderful bedside manner and was able to talk to my mom in ways that were respectful, warm, and clear about her care. Her compassion and kindness and good clinical judgement really helped my dad and I understand what to expect and how to keep my mom safe in her last days (so she did not break any bones!). She also helped us clear up some pharmacy delays very effectively and respected my mom’s hesitation about medication at the same time.
Suzanne was incredibly kind and gentle in her care and was very kind in her discussions with the rest of the family. She really went the extra mile in her care, even helping to change my mom’s diaper and clean her up when she was here. She was incredibly thorough in her examinations and that helped me feel secure that nothing was being missed and we had as much information about my mom’s state as possible.
My mom LOVED Val and looked forward to her visits. Not being able to bathe herself was a hard step for my mom, but Val made it fun and comfortable, and even braided her hair. On the last visit my mom’s cognition had declined a lot and she was pretty resistant to having a bed bath, but we appreciated Val doing as much as she could manage a day-and-a-half before mom passed away. Her attitude was always extremely positive, and her warmth and humor really made a difference for my mom.
Please pass these thanks on to Deanna, Suzanne, and Val for me. You all are offering a really incredible service that made a HUGE difference for our family at a time of great loss. We love you for it.
