Celebrating 20 Years of Service: EveryStep's Helen Martinez

This month, EveryStep nurse Helen Martinez is celebrating a major milestone: 20 years of service!  For the last 15 years Helen has worked with the Nurse Family Partnership program.  We reached out to her colleagues to share a few words about Helen.  Here’s what they’re saying:

“What to say about Helen?? EveryStep is so lucky to have had her as an employee for 20 years! She is a calming, steady presence for her clients and her coworkers. She is so wonderful to work with because she is kind and thoughtful. When I have seen Helen interacting with clients, it is obvious that they trust her and really value her knowledge and experience. Helen is someone to look up to as a nurse, a mother, and a person. She is someone you just enjoy being around, and I am so happy every time I see her.”

“20 years!! What an incredible milestone! We are so lucky to have you. Your patience and grace truly are your superpowers, shining through in the way you gently guide and support your clients every step of the way. Thank you for the countless lives you’ve touched and the difference you continue to make.”

“I have had the privilege of working alongside Helen for almost 20 years, and I still look up to her every single day. Her passion for the families she serves and her steady, calming presence makes her someone I deeply admire and absolutely adore. Working with Helen is one of the greatest gifts of my career. Thank you, Helen, for riding the wave with me.”

“It’s hard to put into words what your 20 years of service at EveryStep — and your commitment to Nurse-Family Partnership since the very beginning — truly mean.

You have been a steady presence in this program from day one. Quiet in strength, rich in knowledge, and always kind in spirit. The families you’ve served may not always see the full depth of your wisdom, but they have absolutely felt it — in your calm guidance, your thoughtful care, and the safe space you create.

Your experience is a foundation our program stands on. Your dedication has shaped not only outcomes, but culture. You lead without needing attention, and you support without needing recognition — but today, we are so grateful to recognize you.

Thank you for the compassion you bring.
Thank you for the knowledge you share.
Thank you for the steady heart you offer to this work."

Thank you, Helen, for 20 wonderful years of service!
