EveryStep’s Amazing FundRacer Returns this Thursday

Event raises awareness for at-risk and low-income children and families served by EveryStep

DES MOINES, Iowa (April 28, 2026) — Fans of the hit TV show The Amazing Race will soon have the opportunity to live out their adventure dreams while supporting a great cause. EveryStep will be hosting the sixth annual EveryStep’s Amazing FundRacer – an exhilarating scavenger hunt-style competition taking place across Des Moines.

Teams will race through the city, solving clues, tackling physical and intellectual challenges, and working together in a test of creativity, teamwork and competitive spirit. Much like the show that inspired it, the event promises high energy, fun and surprises at every turn. Prizes are awarded to the three teams that complete the challenges the fastest. Competitors will also have the chance to win the best costume and best team name awards. 

Due to high interest, registration for this year’s event is now at capacity. Individuals and teams are encouraged to plan and register early for next year’s event.

Proceeds from EveryStep’s Amazing FundRacer will directly benefit at-risk and low-income children and families served by EveryStep. These vital programs provide families with the support they need to achieve a healthy start in life and establish strong foundations for the future.
