Megan Mondt Named EveryStep's Volunteer Resources Director
EveryStep is proud to announce Megan Mondt as the organization’s volunteer resources director – a newly created role leading the organization's recently established Volunteer Resources team.
In her expanded role, effective July 1, Megan will continue her volunteer coordinator duties in supporting EveryStep’s Amanda the Panda program. Going forward, Megan and the Volunteer Resources team will also support EveryStep leaders, volunteer coordinators and other staff who supervise the organization’s many volunteers.
The team will also create innovative and centralized processes to recruit, educate, track and engage volunteers throughout the organization’s many programs and its geographic footprint.
“I am thrilled about the opportunity to expand my role as the volunteer resource director,” Megan says. “I look forward to supporting EveryStep volunteers, staff, and encouraging growth within the organization.”
EveryStep's more than 700 volunteers perform a wide range of tasks and support services to benefit the organization's patients, clients, programs and mission. Volunteers provide companionship, support, office assistance, special talents, time and resources with EveryStep’s hospice and Senior Companion programs; its grief and loss services (including Amanda the Panda); EveryStep Giving Tree thrift store; special projects for its care and support programs; fundraising initiatives; and EveryStep’s various boards, workgroups and committees.
Megan Mondt first joined EveryStep Grief & Loss Services in 2017, coordinating volunteer services for the Amanda the Panda program and helping evolve the organization’s innovative grief and loss services. Prior to joining EveryStep, Megan worked for Make-A-Wish and Children & Families of Iowa. Megan also serves on the Volunteer Managers of Central Iowa (VMCI) board. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services.
