EveryStep Appoints Katie Wengert to Board of Directors

EveryStep, one of Iowa’s largest nonprofit health care and human services organizations, is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Wengert to its Board of Directors.

Wengert serves as the chief strategy officer for Innovative Radiology, and is responsible for strategic planning, business development, marketing and corporate communications.  Prior to joining Innovative Radiology, she was the vice president & chief strategy officer at Broadlawns Medical Center with oversight of marketing, external relations, community impact, fundraising and strategic positioning for the hospital, clinics, services and providers.

Wengert earned her bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Iowa State University. She earned her master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University and completed the executive leadership program at Drake University.

EveryStep is a nonprofit health care and human services organization which annually serves more than 60,000 Iowans. EveryStep is known for its ability to help patients, clients and their families, and to support community partners as they navigate challenges, address complicated care issues and achieve high-quality outcomes. Serving Iowa from 14 locations across the state, nearly 400 employees and hundreds of volunteers are committed to EveryStep’s mission: to empower individuals, support families and strengthen communities. EveryStep Hospice is accredited by CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner) and is a long-standing participant in the national We Honor Veterans program. In 2021, EveryStep earned Service Enterprise Initiative Certification by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service.
