EveryStep Named Best Nonprofit and Top Workplace

EveryStep is one of Iowa’s best employers, according to the Des Moines Register’s 2024 Top Workplaces awards. EveryStep ranked 25th among 55 mid-sized Iowa employers. This is the 12th time EveryStep has earned this award. In addition, EveryStep received the 2024 Best Nonprofit recognition from the Des Moines Business Record’s “Best of Des Moines” awards. In previous years, EveryStep has been recognized five times as runner-up in the Best Nonprofit category.

EveryStep also received the following awards from the Des Moines Business Record:

  • Runner-up: Best Company to Work For
  • Runner-up: Best Company for Promoting Diversity in the Workplace
  • Runner-up: Best CEO (Tray Wade)
  • Runner-up: Best Metro Business Leader: Tray Wade

“Our leadership team and staff across Iowa work together to empower individuals, support families and strengthen communities. These recognitions are a direct reflection of the dedication and perseverance of our employees,” said EveryStep president and CEO Tray Wade.

The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous, third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC. The “Best of Des Moines” annual survey is conducted by the Des Moines Business Record via an online open-ended poll, where participants vote for the businesses, people and events that they think are the “Best of Des Moines” in dozens of categories – including best nonprofit.

EveryStep has been offering nonprofit care and support for Iowans since 1908, with at least one of its 30-plus programs in each of Iowa’s 99 counties. Staff and programs provide support and education to young moms; assistance to immigrants and refugees; in-home care to people who are ill, injured or facing the end of life; and compassionate support to families during times of grief and loss.
