EveryStep Named Among Iowa's Best Employers and Nonprofits

EveryStep is one of Iowa’s best employers, according to the Des Moines Register’s 2023 Top Workplaces awards. EveryStep ranked 27th of 55 mid-size Iowa businesses. This is the 11th time EveryStep has earned this award. In addition, EveryStep has been named “Runner Up: Best Nonprofit” by the Des Moines Business Record. This is the fifth time EveryStep has been honored in the Best Nonprofit category.

“EveryStep is honored to receive the Best of Des Moines and Top Workplaces awards,” said EveryStep president and CEO Tray Wade. “Our leadership team and staff across Iowa work together to empower individuals, support families and strengthen communities. These recognitions are a direct reflection of the dedication and perseverance of our employees.”

The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous, third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC. The “Best of Des Moines” annual survey is conducted by the Des Moines Business Record via an online open-ended poll, where participants vote for the businesses, people and events that they think are the “Best of Des Moines” in dozens of categories – including best nonprofit.

EveryStep has been offering nonprofit care and support for Iowans since 1908, with at least one of its 30-plus programs in each of Iowa’s 99 counties. Staff and programs provide support and education to young moms; assistance to immigrants and refugees; in-home care to people who are ill, injured or facing the end of life; and compassionate support to families during times of grief and loss.
